The car has been provisionally sold but it has got the complete Turbo running gear

I had a noticable improvement when fitting a decat to my old N/A engine - The car made 178bhp on the rollers (up from the original 177 when it was manufactured) but the K&N kit made absolutely no difference at all. (On and off rollers).

The silicone and clingfilm method works a treat, but be sure to use black sealant if you can find it

Definately sounds like a sticky brake caliper :) If you've managed to get smoke to come out of it too, I would thoroughly recommend changing your front brake pads along with fixing / replacing the front caliper as you'll have uneven wear on your O/S and N/S. What colour is the smole? Black, grey, blue or white?

Perhaps if the engine was run with very little fuel then any crap from the tank has been sucked through the fuel filter and is subsequently blocking it?

I know this was an issue on older cars (i.e. Mini) but not a clue about the MR2!

Rash, if you (or any other IMOC member) ends up stripping it for bits then please let me know as I'll be interested in the Eibach springs and alloys (and the shocks / topmounts if they are in a good condition).

like i told james this is my one and ony car im gunna look after her as have put i think a lot of money into her and plan to spend a bit more ive been without her on the road for like 6 months , new engine a few little nigily faults that i will sort over time to get her just the way i want her........
