Would have to concur with Peter on this one.

I used to get a lot of parts from TwosRus but back then it was $2 to the £ and import/handling duty etc was more of a game of chance as to whether you'd get hit, but nowdays you'll get charged pretty much every time. Plus the postage was cheaper.

From the EPC the Mk1a has a different part number to the Mk1b. The SCs look the same as their a/b chassis.

No difference between countries.

Another couple of things to check out are the integrity of the shift cables, make sure they're not split and the mounting of the gearstick itself. I've had a similar issue with a short shift kit that came loose.

Top of the gear box, has a white connector if I remember correctly.

Cam belt and water pump would be top of my list then tidy up. Do your magic on the water pipes under the exhaust manifold and get them blingy.

Oh and check all the valve clearances are still up to spec.
