problem sorted. got a manual boost controller in there now and remoed the ball and spring. car is boosting to 0.9 bar.

just another thing to note that i thought was strange was the car wasnt hitting fuel cut?

it was a second hand one i bought off ebay. i think its a xs power one altho there is no markings on it.

skywalker; i have a manual boost controller and had planned on fitting that and disabling the vsv. was going to remove the ball and spring to run it on actuator pressure.

hey recently fitted a decat downpipe to mr2 turbo. with departure exhaust and apexi filter. took it it out for a spin the other night an is dangerously overboosting (1.2bar)!!! i have no boost controller fitted and was wondering what may be the cause. read some posts about the wastegate sticking ope...

been looking at a set of 17'' advan rgs on the bay. theyre currently on a evo5. would they fit an mr2?

17'' 8.5jj all round ET31 offset

pretty sure they wouldnt fit an mr2, would just like a second opinion

hey replaced the rad on my rev1. now the rad fans r contantly on? i was having bother with my heater pipes so i have disconnected them and plugged the hoses in the engine bay(temp fix). i also replaced the 3 sensors on the water pump housing. (grey,green and blue 1.) any one know what might be wrong...

well i gt it off, easy job really. few cut knuckles. lol

rad replaced and still have a leak coming from back off car. one of the heater pipes. doh.

after discovering 3 leaks in my mr2 over the weekend, and fixed 2 of them. i need to replace my radiator.

is there an easy way to remove the rad? do i need to remove the front bumper?

its that simple, pull back the carpet in the boot to reveal ECU.take the middle block connecter out of the ecu find the pim wire think its blue wire with black line then connect fcd to it. the instructions TB gives with it are very simple to follow.

i got a xxxx fcd. 17quid and it does the job briliantly. fitting literally takes 10mins.

am about to buy a xs power intercooler and would like to know the advantages.

i know it will pull in colder air than the standard one.

at the minute on my Rev1 turbo i am running 0.9bar of boost and have a departure 2 exhaust and apexi intake.

will i get any power gains?

i fitted a tb fcd this afternoon. turned the car on to go for a spin and am getting error code no.34. does anyone know how i can clear it? took it for a drive and am hitting 0.9bar.

check the wastegate actuator isnt fouling the downpipe. this can happen
