all sorted now. was the afm sticking caws car sat for a week and I had sealed the plastic cover with builders cork by mistake instead of silicone. damp got in! raaaaaaa

right update... thanx for coil dale she started :thumleft: problem now is she is running like a pig and puffing black smoke. the rac patrol did take the dizzy out to test it, i urged that it must go back exactualy where it was positioned for obvious reasons. i dont think it being a little out would ...

out of balance turbo, potential engine write off.

why is it a potent write off.... the ceramic bits wont get past the inter cooler. i have popped loads luke?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but doesn't the hilux srf use a ct20 that produces much lower boost levels? smaller comp wheel? A CT20 is not the same turbo that is fitted to a Rev3. The Rev 3 and ST205 have what is called a CT26 Small, but everyone calls them a CT20B. If you have damage to the comp whee...

it relies on afm u are losing blow by in the equation hence it goes wrong. dont do it it will bu88er stuff up af mix etc

ah.... cool . so the dizzy does does not need to be powered up therefore?

is there any way to test afm. i am awair if the unit shorts it can cause such problems especially as i booted it and it prob flung open real quick!

pin out for rev1t please dave. after a long chat with skywalker we think change ecu but. if my ignighter or coil is malfunctioning would this prevent the ecu sending power to the dizzy (in first instance, not via ht leads preventing it sending signal to the ignighter then coil then back to dizzy) wh...
