Re: [Mk2] [NA] Removing Engine loom from Fusebox
It is one of those that looks simple but getting the plastic clip to release at the bottom is difficult as not easy to see. It does slide up. Never actually looked at how it works just managed to get them out each time with a bit of trial and error and usually a screw driver pushed in at an appropri...

Re: Insurance recommendations
You tell them what you are looking for. Provide a full list of modifications including all costings plus the cost of the base car. Send in six pictures (front, back, both sides, inside and engine bay. They then come back with what they say is their agreed valuation offer. I went for £8,500 and they ...

Re: Insurance recommendations
I'm with Adrian Flux and have an agreed valuation policy of £6,500 which costs me currently around £450. I've only got 30% NCD as its a second car policy and my full no claims is on my other. I have a V6 Rev 5 MK2 which I converted myself.

Re: MOT V6
The black one is still a 3.0 same as yours. The only difference is its the VVTi version from the Lexus that produces about 30 more bhp than the non VVTi version. You must be thinking of the 2GR engine.

Re: leaking driveshaft seals
Never really pulled one back with the suspension still attached. I've only ever pulled them out fully with the hub released from the suspension at the wheel end. Not sure what movement you get in place but there will be some. In terms of the holding mechanism you just have the length of spine and a ...

Re: leaking driveshaft seals
The level of the gearbox oil when filled is above the hole that the driveshafts go into. So pulling them out with a full gearbox will cause the oil to run out immediately. Just monitor and if you see any weeping drain the gearbox oil, pull the driveshaft and replace the seal.

Re: front end downforce
Now that's an interesting post. Yes it is an import and yes there is a speed converter sitting behind the instrument cluster. I did review the wiring diagram to check how the Power Steering ECU interfaced to the cars speed. I've got a picture of what it is and how its wired behind the cluster if the...

Re: front end downforce
This is a V6 conversion. The Camry ECU has no control over the power steering and therefore its on all of the time. For the record this car has all of its under trays. As the builder of this conversion the car had no problems with front end at three digits with coil overs and 17 wheels. The car wa...

Re: [FINALIZED] REAR WINDOW SPOILER FREE
Yes agree Paul it was not done by your good selves. In hindsight I wish Id had the blade painted at your place before it came to me. It looked good when it came out of the local paint shop but went downhill very quickly after I installed it.

Re: [FINALIZED] 1994 Rev 3 GLimited V6
Never driven an MR2 turbo so difficult for me to comment personally. The V6 is all about torque through the gears. It just pulls like a train smoothly all of the time. Ive followed a few turbos on country drive outs and have no problem keeping up with them. Lots of stuff on the forums about the com...
