I've seen the car in the flesh and it really is spotless... I couldn't find a fault with it anywhere.... and believe me I tried!
You just need to actually start driving it Luke rather than just polishing it
You were sat in the que next to me outside Marsh, sadly you were a tad faster than me round the roundabout due to my complete lack of driving abilities and turbo lag
Looked nice though
Also just thought, try seeing if the radiator fans are coming on, I'm not sure if it would cause such drastic changes in tempreture but worth looking at them.
Check if the radiator gets hot, as this may give you some idea if there is a blockage. Also check the jubilee clips underneath the car, mine came loose on one and caused my car to overheat as I kept getting air in. Finally think of the water pump... they have been known to fail. And don't get rid if...
I found out what was causing my heat problems in the end, turned out to be still getting air in from a rusty clip on the bottom lol... fixed it now though, runs like a dream
Plusgas and a six sided socket is definately the way forward, it's worked on my 1984 AE86 and my 1986 Mk1 MR2, oh and on my 1992 S13 and my 1992 Sierra
I still have the normal cap, so I can put it back on... but would having the trd cap make a detrimental effect to the car (don't mean to question... just don't know :) ). I had a cunning bit of advice of leaving the rad cap off over night and then top it up in the morning, given that a try now in th...
Hmm, I think it looks like it might be best for me to do yet another full flush of the system (only fitted a new rad 3 weeks ago or so :( ) and treat myself to a trd thermostat, may as well as I'm there anyway. One day I'll get the hang of this car melarky, if anyone wants to help and get cups of te...
Cheers for the reply. The car has a new trd rad cap on (well known for adding at least 10000bhp). Expansion cap and tubes seem ok. The radiator gets hot, so seems to be working. The coolant level seems ok, and I don't appear to be losing any but I'll try bleeding some more out, just that it hasn't d...
I took my car out today for a spirited run and all seemed fine, enjoying the scenary etc, however on the way back I was keeping an eye on the temp guage and all seemed normal and was positioned at half way, I looked at it about 10 seconds later to see that it was nearly in the red so I pulled over a...
My brakes have been acting as if they have air in them, however after numerous bleeds I have come to the conclusion that the servo or booster is bu88ered, I have them both here, however I was wondering if there is any special procedure to fitting them and if I would need any SST's? I'm not the most ...
Funny you should mention that, but I was taking a look at mine as I suspected the cap letting air in at first however I couldn't see any visible cracks in it and oddly enough it's probably the best condition thing on my car :clown: Probably might be worth my while seeing if I can get hold of one of ...
Cheers for the advice Jinxy I haven't tried that yet as last night I turned my car round and parked it on the kerb with the filler cap (drivers side) risen after a hard drive. Went out about 20mins later and very gently released the filler cap and a load of air just came out, just filled up again an...
