Well, I don't know there is nothing wrong with it. The steering rack has been replaced but not the steering knuckle part and it does knock from this area as I said before. It's a shame your not closer to me Peter or I would come over. Half my problem is that the noise dies down after so long/so many...
As the steering rack has been replaced already, I figure I may as well get a spare steering knuckle/column and swap it for mine?
Any other ideas please?
Hello Mr2Madlad, Did you ever find a solution to this? Getting exactly the same problem myself. Changed the ball joints, track rod ends, steering rack end, then got a reconditioned steering rack, replaced all the front end bushes, tried to check everything is tight etc. Not made any difference at al...
Hi Steve,
I'm in Stoke on Trent, just off junction 16.
I don't have any engine/interior pictures at the moment, but I can try and get some sorted in the next few days.
It has the standard black interior with nothing broken etc.
Hope this helps.
I have for sale my long serving '2' First the pics, then I shall list the good and bad bits. http://www.informant-net.myzen.co.uk/IMAG0364.jpg http://www.informant-net.myzen.co.uk/IMAG0363.jpg http://www.informant-net.myzen.co.uk/IMAG0362.jpg http://www.informant-net.myzen.co.uk/IMAG0365.jpg http://...
Ok thanks for that.
Sounds a bit hit and miss then, especially considering it's not a 5 min job to swap the intercooler over (well not for a mere mortal anyway!)
Anybody else reading tried one of these?
Hello folks, I don't normally post on here but found these Intercooler kits on t'interweb. Surely they can't be any good for these prices (esp the last one) or can they...? Maybe somebody here has one or similar :-k http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Toyota-MR2/Engine-Tuning/Toyota-MR2-SW20-Turbo-Intercooler...
Hi Jon, your symptoms sound to me like your hitting overboost, plus the error code 34 I am 99% certain is overboost too. If its not anything playing up causing it, then maybe it was just a coolish night, it can happen sometimes. You could try an ecu reset to clear the codes in case the 47 code is un...
Think I see which one you mean on your pic, doesnt look like the one I was thinking of then lol. I was looking at one that looks like another unit similar in size to the TPS maybe bigger, with another similar electrical plug type connector. Not sure what that is then, its right under the short rubbe...

What size tyre would you recommend for my rear 16x8 alloys? (I've got a rev2 turbo)

Hi John, Oddly enough the cars been fine today (kiss of death lol) but then its been a warmer day so perhaps that had something to do with it? Btw hope it didnt seem like I was having a go at you in one of my previous posts, just fed up with the car as it could be several things, intermittant faults...
Thanks ben. Ok update again: fitted new TPS sensor today, no probs (so far lol) and seems we fitted it ok. BUT... Thinking it was ok on leaving friends house (car had cooled down a bit by then) I started up the car and after 20 secs- chug chug, revs dropping and car hunting again...... Damnit! So th...
