Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Speedo needle moves on start up
There's propably speed limit remover/converter installed behind the dash. I have one of these also and it can be selected with a dip switch it it does that on startup to confirm operation. Cant remember the make of it but it bolts directly behind the speedometer bolts. That makes sense. I have prev...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Speedo needle moves on start up
My father-in-law has just bought a rev 2 turbo. When starting the engine, the speedo needle first goes to 114mph, holds for a few seconds then drops to 60 mph, holds for another few seconds then drops to 0mph. Anyone have any ideas? The only thing I can think of is it has a Cliffords alarm with buil...

Sorry, can't tell from your post but are you looking to buy or sell this car? If you are buying...walk away now theres a lot better out there! If you are selling unfortunately I can not see you getting any more than £500 - £750. I can't see many people wanting to take on such a big job. If you have ...

I have seen this car in the flesh and the only way to desribe it is
"Stunning".
If little nipper wasn't here that car would be on my drive right now.
I have a scooby wagon now for practicality but god I miss my tubby

Is there a way of getting a car seat fitted between the seats?

Living this far down the country means its so far to go to most of the events, but we always make the effort to come up for JAE.

Keep an eye on this space.
We are having discussions with the owner at the moment, so we do not have a confirmed date yet, but things are looking good as he was keen on having an Ace Cafe type regular meet.

Re: Attn Cornwall/Plymouth/Devon people
Come on you South-West lot.
There must be some interest.
There are hardly any meets down here.
We have found a location that welcomes car meets.
You do not have to have an MR2 or FTO.
Any jap car is welcome.

Re: Attn Cornwall/Plymouth/Devon people
We were passing Route 38 on Sunday and they were having a VW meet there. We both thought it would be a good idea to have an FTO or MR2 meet there. We thought about it and thought, "How about a joint FTO and MR2 meet?". Thinking even more "How about a Jap meet?". Being 2 of the fo...

Rev 2 tubby keeps stalling
My girlfriends dads rev 2 tubby keeps stalling. It starts OK and will run fine, but when it is warm and pulling up to the light for example, the revs go down to about 500 rpm then it stalls. Apart from that it runs lovely. This only started to happen after the battery was replaced. Didn't know if it...

How do I delimt a rev 1 tubby?
Hi all, just wondered how I would go about delimiting a rev 1 turbo. I know how to do it on rev 2+ but the rev 1 had a cable speedo instead of an electronic one. At the moment I have a 110mph speedo face. I can get hold of a 180mph face, and I have seen mechanical convertors but I don't think that w...

Woo hoo, finally got the tubby back up and running. Sorry I have been away for so long, it has not been a good couple of months for me. :x After all the problems changing the turbo, got the car running for 2 weeks when the head gasket blew. 4 days later I was told that the company I worked for were ...

Re: 160 or 180 mph aftermarket dials... how does it work??
im a bit confused with how the after market dials work etc, as there are the options of having 160mph or 180mph dials... surely if you opt to buy the 180 mph dials, there needs to be some kind of hardware that slows the needle down, other wise at say 140 mph, it will be reading like 165 or somethin...
