Suspension measurement question
Hi all, I recently bought 4 shocks and springs with Koni adjustable inserts fitted. The guy said it will sit lower with them on but I'm not sure what springs they have on them and if they're aftermarket or not. They're just black springs with no real markings on them. How would I know if they're not...

Re: Noise
I had equal noise but not exactly the same. Especially in Summer or when the motor is very hot. For me it seems as an alternator bearing but it could be also worse - more important bearings. I made only one small trick - higher idle with 20-30 rpm more. Now i have no the bad noise... :-k Interestin...

Sideskirt rubber seal fitting
Hi all,
Ive purchsed a new set to replaced the brittle old shrunken ones.
Any tips on how to fit? I saw a set for sale in the US that came with loctite. Should I be using some kind of glue? I feel like it should be a simple job but I just couldnt get my head around it!
Thanks in advance peeps

Re: Engines developed a strange buzzing noise
I used to get that kind of noise but only when I turned the engine off. Sounds like something else is blowing as well. Really?? Ill just keep an eye on it then for now. But its interesting you say it sounds like something else is blowing as it is a bit ticky/ tappy and has been since I got it. It...

Re: Engines developed a strange buzzing noise
🤔 now you mention it the idle was a little erratic. They kept dropping. Also have a small rad leak. Although wrong end for the noise. Gonna pop back out now and see if I can isolate the noise to a specific area. Wish me luck! Ha Update - Ok. So Ive been out in the garage and ran it for ...

Re: Engines developed a strange buzzing noise
Haha no worries, thanks for having a listen. Its weird, its literally the first time Ive heard it ☹️ When its idling the noise was constant but goes as soon as you give it some revs. It has sat for a while only getting small runs or a warm up run in the garage. Bl**dy uk wea...

Engines developed a strange buzzing noise
First time Ive taken her out in a few weeks and Ive noticed the engine is now making a strange buzzing noise on idle. As soon as you add revs it goes. Trying to think if it could be something Ive done recently but dont think they would have caused it. Ive replaced the aerial wth a new one (whic...

Let sleeping dogs lie? Sill Question
Hi All, Ive just purchased a Mica blue Mk1 T-Bar. Shes in beautiful condition. Arches all solid :thumleft: If you look closely she does have a few little paint defects but all slight and well hidden. Shes just been through an MOT and passed without any advisories! I've had MK1's before and I know th...

Re: MR2 Turbo on TopGear
That was my sisters boyfriends old MR2 (James Mays) he bought it after a bit of persuading from me. Was immaculate when he bought it about 3-4yrs ago and other than a scuff on the wing and paint fade it was in good condition when he sold it 6months ago.. Been a hard 6months for her by the looks of i...

Re: Oil pressure question
.... so based on those figures in PSI, my readings seem about correct (1Bar = 14.56PSI)? Only i have an indicator that flashes red when my gauges go over or under a certain amount and its been set to go off or flash like mad when the oil pressure drops too much which obviously only happens at idle. ...

Oil pressure question
Hi guys, on a tubby what kind of oil pressure should i expect from normal everyday driving - by normal i mean taking it moderately easy :) I have an oil pressure gauge and it usually sits around 3-3.5bar when in motion. And when idling drops right down. I would expect it to drop but it practically h...

Rev 2 splitter on a Rev 1 bumper... how easy/hard?
Hi, ive gone and bought myself a Rev1 tubby. Love everything about it but ive always had Rev2 + because i prefer the deaper bumper. How easy is it to get the lower bumper spoiler or splitter (whatever you want to call it  ) and fit it to a Rev1 bumper? I had a quick look at the parts catalogue...
