how much would that cost to fix would you say ??

can anyone offer some advice please! I have got a loud knocking noise after starting up with the engine cold,then when it gets warm it turns into a faint ticking noise?? any ideas whats wrong. thanks.

thanks for the reply,just been to the garage and they said that i will need to replace the whole shock! they said it shouldn't be to exspensive so going to get them to quote me a price when i drop it in for a pre m.o.t. on friday.

Front shock has been knocking for a while now after hitting a pot hole!!! Removed the front wheel to see if i could see anything and found the shock was covered in fluid! good point ! had a few overheating probs with the pipes from hell when i first had the car and had to replace the coolant a few times and had to use a coolant from halfords because toyota parts dept was closed over the christmas holidays last year and haven't had a chance to replace it.

I will be going on a 200 mile road trip on Friday which will be mainly motorway miles ! I want to add redline water wetter to my coolant system but don't want to risk creating air bubbles in the system.Has anyone got any tips on how to do this? eg. would it work if i were to add it via the expansion...

With the better weather comes warmer air temp obviously! is it normal for the front fans to kick in when doing motorway miles at around a constant 4000rpm? this wasn't an issue during the winter months with a colder air temp.Can anyone advise please?

I have recently changed the front pads!!But haven't checked the rear pads
for some time so i will look at them at the weekend,the noise does sound its from the front though.

I have a noise coming from my front brakes which sounds like a clicking noise when i apply the brakes and also when i turn half lock to turn into a parking space or my garage there is a sort of loud drone as the weight is transfered to the front passenger side! Any ideas please.

I do have a mod on the front not sure if its based on a ferrari though it was like it when i bought it ?? Probably was me around carrow road i rep for a living and use my car for work so always about the city.
