Meole Brace (Shrewsbury) Rev 5 Cosmos Blue

Being driven by... Well... Someone slightly my senior with somewhat greying hair lol... Not to be rude, just not sure if it's anyone here or known to the club. Was nice to see another Two although i was in the works van so didn't bother flashing!

Re: Which Body Kit Have I Got???

Very rare PP skirts indeed, seen them change hands for £500 previously. The front lip looks (IMHO) more like a Greddy as it extends quite far from the front of the bumper, the Aeroware protrudes less. As you say, it doesn't matter where they come from they still work well with the body lines. Nice ...

Re: Which Body Kit Have I Got???

Right enough on the skirts. They're practically identical to MRD ones. However, you've got the more expensive ones if they're genuine! :thumleft: edit. Actually the second hole in the PP ones is more horizontal and less vertical by comparison. Interesting. Yeah, apparently the first owner of the ca...

Re: Which Body Kit Have I Got???

It's not a kit, as such, more an amalgamation of bits. The rear bumper is essentially stock plus 'diffuser' or rear addition. I have seen it before but will have to dig a bit to find again. The skirts are MRD (no really I mean it this time guys!) Image Replaced With URL For Quote http://i341.photob...

Which Body Kit Have I Got???

Hi all... Just curious to know what body kit i have fitted... As far as the few MR2 specialists who have seen it so far are concerned, they agree that it's rare and have only ever seen it in pictures but not able to comment on what it is as such... All i know is that it was fitted by the Toyota deal...

Re: More Fuel You (N/A Rev 5)

I've used 1 full tank of tesco momentum so far and i've not found it as good as esso for miles to a tank etc... Then again, i've been doing different journeys on different roads and different amounts of "around town" so i can't fairly judge that one yet...

Re: More Fuel You (N/A Rev 5)

You know they don't refine their own fuel don't you??? They just bulk buy it from the big companies such as BP, Shell, etc. Tesco fuel is just as good as any other, but cheaper. Yeah, i know the fuels come from the same refineries, a family friend of ours worked for a major uk refinery for nearly 2...

Re: More Fuel You (N/A Rev 5)

I watched an episode of fifth gear where that annoying woman did a side by side test of loads of fuels and the out come was the gains were so small it wasn`t worth the extra £`s paying for premium petrol but if you did v power was best . Cant do links yet so add the 3 x w to the front ;) .youtube.c...

More Fuel You (N/A Rev 5)

Hi all... Firstly, i know this has probably been done to death over the years and yes I HAVE used the search function but to little gain... Basically, to my understanding 98+ron (or any super unleaded) will have no gains or benefits in an N/A. Am i correct? Is there absolutely no point putting super...

I wish someone with the cash would agree :) it really is a brilliant car!! If this had of been £2800 when i was looking at buying, i'd have found the other £300 that i was missing and snapped your arm off! This won't be around long at that price, just wish it had of been around at that price when i...

Re: Smelling a bit clutchy...

I suppose I've only had to do mine twice, and they've been fubar'd both times  lol... Yeah, when i do a lot of track days (when i can afford to) the discs tend to not last as long as the pads, but for general road use and pootling about without hammering the brakes everywhere, they're fine for...

Re: Smelling a bit clutchy...

Discs should always be done with pads - yours weren't? Yes, the discs and pads were changed at the same time but it's been standing a while before i picked it up, hence why there was some surface rust which is now gone! And discs don't need changing with pads all the time unless they are warped or ...

Re: Smelling a bit clutchy...

Check your brake discs for heat. Seized caliper will smell the same as clutch slipping. Oh right... Not sure about the discs, i know the pads are brand new and i've just checked the paperwork for the clutch... it was done at a Toyota main dealer in late 2009 and has only done 3450 miles since!!! I ...

Smelling a bit clutchy...

The car supposedly had a new clutch fitted about 5500 miles ago (about 3 years ago now)... However i've noticed on the last few journeys that it's smelling quite clutchy when i get out of the car after a run... It doesn't appear to be slipping at all though at the moment and i should hope not too! A...
