[Mk2] [Turbo] clocking rings for forged pistons
Hi all,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'm currently rebuilding my motor and have got some Mahle pistons to drop into the block.
The instructions from Mahle have different positions when clocking the rings compared to the toyota manual.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Which one should I use?![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Cheers

[Mk2] [Turbo] OEM main bearing different to aftermarket
Hi all, Currently rebuilding a 3sgte and I've noticed that the main bearings I've been sent are slightly different to the ones I've pulled out. The top end bearing is the same but the OEM bottom end bearing has a small oil galley that continues from the top end. The aftermarket ones I have bought do...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] installing urethane suspension bushings - hit a snag
This is turning out to be the most frustrating job.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
After taking the front strut bar and control arm off the car i am struggling to get the little inner ring out of the strut bar.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] installing urethane suspension bushings - hit a snag
well.
.against my better judgment.
.
.went for a drive.
.seemed to do the trick and wound the bolt in a bit more so it caught the thread.
Managed to get it all the way done up so it lives to fight again another day.

[Mk2] [Turbo] installing urethane suspension bushings - hit a snag
Hi Guys, So much info on this forum I rarely need to ask a question. I decide to install polyurethane suspension bushings on my '94 rev 3 turbo today. Started off well but I hit a snag with the bolt holding the strut bar. I managed to undo it about an inch and now it is stuck there. It turns both wa...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Idles for a few seconds then cuts out
I'm no expert but the same thing happened to me today and it was a vacuum pipe. The vac pipe had fallen off from the sensor for the stock boost gauge as soon as i plugged it back in everything was fine. I think I didn't secure it properly when I spliced the line for my omori gauge that I recently in...

[Mk2] [Turbo] apexi power intake fake or real?
Hi Guys, I recently purchased an Apexi Power Intake but I'm wondering if it is a genuine item. It's for a gen 3 turbo. My concern is the pipe for the BPV to connect to looks like it is glued in place is this the way it is supposed to be? I thought it would have been welded or something. Also I have ...
