Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

Hi Matt, reason I ask for oppinion is that most of the people looking at buying will be from the forum, so views on what people would pay are quite useful.

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

What do people think of the price? I think its very fair, can I have your views as to whether I'm asking too much / not enough or just right. I've put it on Ebay (120569977679) with a simular reserve so I'll see how it goes, if not I might just keep it and just wimper on my 160 mile commutes. 8-[ :t...

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

OK, just spent 360 quid to get its through its MOT  , not even anything tricky just didn't have the time. It needed new steering rack gaitors due to a protyre error, tracking needed doing (due to protyre error) Exhaust gasket and 2 new handbrake cables. So now fully MOT'd for the next 12 month...

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

:0), good news is the wobble on braking is now gone following taking the brake caliper apart and cleaning everything and replacing all seals and replacing the brake disc for good measure.

Something I've been meaning to do all last month, make it feel so much better. Quite satisfying!

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

OK, the garage I was recommended on here is busy until two weeks time.

But in two weeks I will have a full 12 months MOT on the car, only things it failed on was the handbrake and emissions but these will be sorted out when I take it in.

So feel free to come and have a viewing or ask questions :0).

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

Go fork out  I may well sell it seperately, however I'll try and sell it first with the Carputer in place. But if not then I'll be looking to to sell it. It is installed under the carpets and wired to the dash so will be a right PITA to take out. So I really hoping I don't have to sell seperat...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone near Bristol know any emission friendly MOT places?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone near Bristol know any emission friendly MOT places?

My Tubby will need an MOT in a few months, last time due to the Decat and mods it failed the emissions by quite a long way. I took it up to luton then to a garage which specialised in classic cars which was happy to overlook the emissions test on mine (As its a waste of time anyhow) Rather than have...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Brake disc rusted on!!!

Thanks Slarty, I just got the thing off, didnt have the correct thread bolts to use your suggestion. But I was hitting the disc outwards which wasnt budgeing. Hitting inwards round the disc with a huge hammer it came off quite easily. Why it took me two hours to get to this realization I dont know. ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Brake disc rusted on!!!

I'd be grateful of some quick help as i'm currently under the car and losing the will to live. I have removed the rear calliper and the disc will not come off for love nor money. Anyone have any tips as I have wacked hell out of it with a lump hammer but it wont budge and it is quite badly scored .....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible causes of vibration/wobble from steering (Not Wheel balancing/spigots)

I've got a possible culprit! On going in for the last geometry, the chap said that every time he set the camber that when he put it down and bounced it it would drop another 2 degrees and could not get it to stay. So I left it at what they had set. Yesterday, coming home from work the wheel rim star...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible causes of vibration/wobble from steering (Not Wheel balancing/spigots)

just had geo and wheels balanced yet again after fitting poly bushes, still bad wobble which doesnt stop on braking. What now guys? I thought i may take my front disks off and make sure no dirt is between the hub and disk. Could my hub be mishapen?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is there anything magic about unseizing rear toe arm

Right after buying one second hand and finding the other just as impossible, I turned stubborn and eventually got there after around 4 hours of elbow grease. For others with the same problem, heat the nuts and this helps alot. The shortest end with the nut is a reverse thread btw! Forget this and yo...
