MR2 GT Turbo REV2 converted to 3 66K 270RWBHP

Post by davidmit »

Hi All, my work situation has changed meaning I need to get a bit more sensible with fuel economy 8-[ .

Now selling with 12 Month MOT and new handbrake cables :0).

I bought this from PCDOCS on here a year and a few months ago and it has been great, its got most of the service history including most if not all UK MOTS. I will shamelessly use the previous advert for tech specs below.
Since I bought the car I has changed the following:

Tein superstreet suspension fitted (700)
Polybushed the suspension (150)
Fitted newly reconditioned steering rack (200)
4 Almost new eagle F1 tyres
All ball joints replaced
Overhauled the rear tie bars.
Changed all brake discs / pads.
New toyota ignition leads. (100)
Oil changed twice, once by 3S once by me.
Swapped the very loud revision6 twin exit exhaust for a single exit full stainless one. Still sounds great but means that you dont set car alarms off when you drive past (Not joking!)

Car has now has done 66K miles.
looking for £3500 ovno

'Previous ad for info'
The car is in immaculate condition and is very clean for the age. A better example will not be found.

The car has had a Rev 3 conversion and an Apexi ecu mapped by Perfect Touch. It has managed 270bhp at the wheels, not quite sure what this equates to at the flywheel but depending on who you speak to anywhere between 300 and 330 bhp. The car has recently been serviced by James at 3S who also commented on the excellent condition of the car.

It has some minor faults mainly, the alloys, despite my best efforts I have managed to scuff most of the wheels.

List of Mods:

Rev 3 conversion by 3S
Cambelt changed 10000 miles ago
CT20b
Rev 3 injectors

New OEM clutch fitted by Rouge Motorsport
New OEM fuel filters
All fluids changed
Fully synth oil every 6000 miles
Power FC mapped by Perfect Touch results: 270bhp at the wheels
Only ever used with Shell V Power

Fitted a carputer! (Cost around 1500 plus many hours work) (See http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... highlight= )

I will leave the carputer in for and extra £300 (Cost over £1500 )
In essence the carputer is a touchscreen built into the dash by me, for MP3's, DAB Radio, Sat navigation, Internet through wireless dongle, temp among others. It has a 1000 watt amp, top end infinity perfect mid range and tweeters, Kicker l7 8" square sub fibreglassed behind the passenger seat (seat travel not affected at all!) Works v well, very clean sound

Any questions just ask,

Yeh followed you from your drive a few times.

Noticed it as it is very clean and sounds nice and healthy and good too see it not been ragged from cold, infact quite the opposite.

Good luck mate

I know this is rather cheeky but if you wanted to i would be interested in the carputer and audio if you wanted to sell seperatly! Would love to say i had £4000 to buy the whole car but sadly not!

Go fork out

I may well sell it seperately, however I'll try and sell it first with the Carputer in place. But if not then I'll be looking to to sell it.

It is installed under the carpets and wired to the dash so will be a right PITA to take out. So I really hoping I don't have to sell seperately

OK, the garage I was recommended on here is busy until two weeks time.

But in two weeks I will have a full 12 months MOT on the car, only things it failed on was the handbrake and emissions but these will be sorted out when I take it in.

So feel free to come and have a viewing or ask questions :0).

I'd be interested in the carputer if the car's buyer would not like it.

I'd be willing to offer a good ammount of cash, and even a headunit/wiring/surround etc etc if needed :)

PM me if this is of interest.

Already got most of my car PC sorted, but would be interested in buying this lot too :thumleft:

:0), good news is the wobble on braking is now gone following taking the brake caliper apart and cleaning everything and replacing all seals and replacing the brake disc for good measure.

Something I've been meaning to do all last month, make it feel so much better. Quite satisfying!

OK, just spent 360 quid to get its through its MOT  , not even anything tricky just didn't have the time.

It needed new steering rack gaitors due to a protyre error, tracking needed doing (due to protyre error)

Exhaust gasket and 2 new handbrake cables.

So now fully MOT'd for the next 12 months and now officially for sale.

What do people think of the price? I think its very fair, can I have your views as to whether I'm asking too much / not enough or just right.

I've put it on Ebay (120569977679) with a simular reserve so I'll see how it goes, if not I might just keep it and just wimper on my 160 mile commutes.

You dont need our views. Just look at the market and price it around the same as similar cars.

IMO, having a rev 3 conversion doesnt mean you should put it in the same price range as a rev 3 car however.
