[Mk2] [NA] decat - is it going to be a help or a hinderance?

Post by mruk »

i'm undecided, there are no other performance mods on it(not even exhaust and unlikely there will be, the car came with it

sorry, spent 15mins looking through old threads but couldn't find an answer so might aswell ask even though i know it'll be on here somewhere

Thanks!

it will help your turbo spool quicker throughout the rev range especially if you use a manual boost controller and add a few psi...

lol, cheers, if its for an n/a then you will have to put a cat in for the mot so with a minimal difference your as well sourcing a cat and getting it fitted, thats what i would do anyway... :-k

that is exactly the same setup as i have on mine: blueflame de-cat and backbox, and apexi induction kit, and they did make a difference IMHO.

cheers, stu.
