golf and sierra cossie vs my rev3...

Post by paul_4xxxx »

theres a lad in work who thinks he knows it all about cars...

he recons his mk2 1.3 golf is a classic and my rev3 turbo is jap poo!!! lol... he also works in an exhaust fabricators where i want to make a 3" single exit for me, and he recons 3" is too big! 2.5" is what i shud get... right hand jockey!!! lol... he also recons that his bosses 20y/o standard sierra cossie will have me in a race....

i told him that if hes sure a 2.5" exhaust is best for a turbo engined car. hes more than welcome to come with me to rc developments wen i go there for a power run, and tell them that 4" is too big for there 800bhp evo... lol

i cant wait to take him for a spin wen my car is bk on the road... i will make sure i put a bin bag on the seat. i dont want xxxx stains on my leather

I cant see any spec on your own car. I wouldnt write a Cossie off, they are bloody quick cars.

He probably doesn't understand how a turbo exhaust system works and that it doesnt rely on back pressure like an N/A engine.

He does sound a bit like a xxxx though. Has his old golf got loads of xxxx things stuck to it trying to make it look cool. Like a 17ft spoiler and neon washer jets?

And the Cossie is totally standard?
Dont forget this is one of the most moddable cars in the world!

Friend of mine used to have one. It had an exhaust, airfilter and chip and made 265bhp and did a 13.1 at Santa pod. This was the old 2wd Sapphire so was only 202bhp at start with.

They punch well above their weight IMO.

This was just a plug in chip as well, none of this modern mappable gadgetry.

This is why I will always hold the Cossie with high esteem, because there are so many out there with such incredible specs.

There's just something about them.

I would love an Escort Cosworth some day. Just a lovely mint standard ish one. All I would want is about 330bhp and some 18" Compomotive's and I would be as happy as a pig in xxxx.
