[Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel cut on a rev2, according to EBC reading = 15psi?

Post by ferrit »

Hi all,

Just wondered if someone could please let me know what the fuel cut should be on a Rev2?

I've installed a Blitz EBC which reads @ 1.10 kg/cm2 = 15.65psi peak before hitting fuel cut.

I always had the impression that fuel cut on a rev2 was around 13? Could it be my EBC is reading an incorrect value?

I've tried searching the web, and am getting contrasting reports.

Advice appreciated.

Cheers

have you checked the ECU for any wiring changes? Maybe you already have an FCD

Hi,

When I bought the car it was listed with having a FCD, but I can't seem to see anything 'out of the norm' based near to the ECU. Could it be mounted somewhere else? General consensus seems to be it would only be in the boot.

Cheers

Ferrit, ive got no obvious signs of a FCD on my Rev 2 and my fuel cut seems to be at 15/16 psi according to my mechanical guage.

Hmm strange. Where abouts is your boost gauge plumbed in mate?

Is it the type of gauge that gives a vacuum reading at idle?

Yep, compound type.

Plumbed in at the manifold, one of the lines on the passenger side.

What reading of vac do you get please mate?

I'm thinking about getting a 3rd gauge, to see which reading is accurate... just hope this one reflects at least the EBC, or the mech gauge... because if it doesn't, and I get a 3rd reading, i'm not going to be happy, haha! ](*,)
