Its good stuff how old was the Redex? They changed it a few years back as it wasnt "environmentally friendly" and changed the mixture which basically made it not as good.

Redex used to be all the rage. I once used some in my RS turbo and it seemed to respond better afterwards but could've just been my imagination. I'm not convinced it makes that much difference really but then again some mechanics reckon it's really good stuff. I still have a bit left in my garage somewhere.

I use it on ym motorbike but thats all. I tend to use 10K Boost on the MR2 - that works a treat. Though 2mins at a time at 2.5K revs doesn't please the neighbours with my exhaust!

I swear by it, just the recommended dose every couple of thousand miles -in the tank according to the destructions on the bottle.

Doesn't make a huge difference but enough for me to notice if it hasn't been used for a while.

Redex is good stuff, I still use it today.

Used to tip it down the plug holes on some of my older cars, smoked like a bu88er for ages though... but its all good fun.

I swear it makes your car feel quicker, the only product that actually does.

No smoke out the back but car seemed to pull a little bit better - most probably my imagination though! LOL

You wont get smoke unless you tip it down your plug holes, Mixing it with fuel shouldnt create any smoke.

Do you mean to say you take out the ignition leads and spark plugs and then put it directly into the engine that way as well as in the fuel tank?

Only ever used it in the fuel tank, putting it directly into the engine through the spark plug holes sounds really dodgy to me... but if its designed for that then so be it.

The instructions on the stuff I bought said add the whole bottle to a near empty tank then fill up.

Ive added redex directly down spark plug holes years ago but that was to my old Triumph Spifire - never done it to a two.

I wouldnt put their full fuel system cleaner directly into the bores only the genuine original stuff that looks like red syrup its mildly aciic so it will remove the deposits/crap that build up on the valves and on the top of the pistons
