The same seat is used in the hilux surf SSRG. You would still need the runners though.

So if you are going to do that you may as well try and finda pair of recaros from an integra type-R as they are much more supportive:

They seem to be more desirable in red, they also come in black... which is probably going to be cheaper.

IIRC there was a member on here a few weeks ago who posted a pic of one of these fitted in their mk1.

Yellow is uber rare though. So don't fancy your chances of finding a pair. If you do expect to pay a big premium.

Red is nice (we have these of course), though reckon the bargain is most likely to be with the black ones.

Could someone locate some funds for me to buy them - what appeals to me is that they are genuinely rare: hilux surf seats just won't do ( Type-R seats  ) ....

The hilux surf seats though are exactly the same as the SE seats, obviously the subframe is different.

Going back to the original post :) Keithtau is a very good seller, I recently bought a TRD Steering wheel from him and it arrived VERY promptly. So I'd expect this to be a good deal!

They look like the Recaros from a Capri 2.8i. I have just got some Fiat Strada 130TC recaros for mine. Flat base so easy to get a subframe made up.

I agree - I've bought stuff more than twice now and its always exactly as stated. Just a pity the shipping is so pricey :(

This looks remarkably similar to an SE Recaro - are they the same?
