[Mk2] [Turbo] Motoria exhaust through.......not good enough again lol!

Post by 2Crooky »

Well prepared for the worst as my 3 previous systems of this type ordered, all came through damaged and dented.

To my surprise the system is free from dents but there are a few scratches here and there......BUT.....

There is a pin hole in one of the welds to the left hand tailpipe!! ](*,) Now do i pay to have a courier come pick the fookin thing up and then send another out....Or do i just take the system to longlife or powerflow and say weld the pin hole please for £20....

Weld the pin for £20 far less hassle then claim the cost off the company you got it from.

does the exhaust have a guarantee?? If so dont get it repaired by powerflow etc just yet as the company might void your guarantee for having someone else repair it. Have you tried phoning them? Some companies offer Free collection, I ordered some alloy wheels and 2 were damaged so the company arranged collection / delivery of replacemetns with DHL or who ever for free.

I have been offered the work for a few quid to put in their local charity money collection pot...So i will only be £2-3 out of pocket. still worth seeing if i can get any money back for it being faulty......

On the bright side the tail pipes are perfect, the centre boxes are free from any scratches or dents and the tailpipes sit even and perfect on both sides of the bumper 8) \:D/

Oh poo lol!

didin't mean to say "but" twice!! No deep scratches or scrapes on the entire system 8)

Will put pics up tomorrow.

Also like it as there is no branding on the entire exhaust. Looks a lot cleaner :thumleft:

Yeah but thats going by the weight of the buddy club before it

TBH i think they don't weigh much at all. Dep 2 is much heavier, Nur Spec was heavier, HKS Hi Power was heavier.

For a twin system it is not bad a t all, plus with my cast decat pipe the noise isn't quite as loud as a stainless DP......So i think it is a track legal system.

At idle it rumbles =P~ But is very deep and low so doesn't actually make a stupid din. Then at half throttle its pretty civilised again. Only when you plant it that the noise levels get savage

when i bought one of these exhausts one of the tips were badly dented, i just fixed it but they shouldn't be getting away a year later with the same mistakes...

really annoys me other people's neglect...

i would just get in touch with them and just say you've had enough and try and get them to accept responsibility for bad packaging and accept to pay the bill... :-k

good luck... :thumleft:

Its only a pin hole in the welding mate...not a bent tailpipe or anything i have had before......

I have some pictures that embarrassed XS Power a year or so ago with a shocking bit of damage done to the exhaust. Even in carraige it can't have got that much abuse!!

You can hardly call it a heavy exhaust, its no more than 15kg which is hardly much compared to the 1270kg of the whole car!

1350kg if you own a fully loaded GT

It fits worse than some but better than others.......Involves a slight bit of pulling the central flanges together(no sex puns please lol) but they meet pretty easily once you tighten up the bolts.

Against the likes of an HKS or Pheonix Power fitment, they are not as good. But they fit and don't leak so i'm happy.

HKS shocked me the most!! I bolted up the flexi then hung the rear section to find that the 2 sections met perfectly with a 1mm gap just thick enough for a gasket 8) \:D/

i adjusted the 2 further most exhaust brackets (near the tail pipes) with a file so that the flexi met up without any strain, i fitted mine myself and without blowing my own trumpet i think the pipes look spot on.
il post a picture up tomorrow
