[Mk2] [Generic] Wing mirror refitment help! (Pics included)

Need some help guys, removed my passenger side wing mirror to replace the retract motor, went to put it back on and it won't seal up to the door properly no matter how hard I push on it! Any tips on getting it back flush with the door as I'm worried it's letting water in when it rains ...

must have something in the way thats stopping it fitting flush maybe elec wires or something, is there washers on the bolts that stop it going all the way maybe :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

take it out and try again...seal not 100% important but nice...

all windows are non waterproof anyway hence the plastic behind the doorcard and the drainholes in the bottom off the door... :-k

Mine was the same strange. tried everything aswell.
