[Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
im gong to pick my new wheels up tomorrow and am now wondering if they will all fit i was thinking 1 under the bonnet 1 behind passenger seat 1 on the passenger seat not sure abbout the other one either passenger side footwell or behind driver seat? will 1 fit in the boot?
Re: [Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
It won't fit in the boot, no.
But you can probably squeeze two in on the passenger side
- far easier to remove the seat though.

Just the rims or tyres as well?

Based purely on guess work
(ie don't take my word for it), I'd assume a rim
(or even two at a stretch) would easily fit in the boot.
You may have issues with the tyres as well, though.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
I've tried this before and succeeded, but yes, the passenger seat had to come out.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
One went under the bonnet.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Two went upright sitting where the passenger seat should have been
(they sat quite neatly between the edge of the storage box and a ridge in the floor.
)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
And the last laid flat on top of them wedged up against the glox box.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
These were 8" wide rims with tyres on too, so you shouldn't have a problem width wise.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Yes, they will.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
One in the front trunk, two in the passenger seat
- two facing forwards, one across the front of the dash.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

That's how I used to transport my trackday 16" wheels.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
I got 4 16in wheels
(without tyres) in my 2 with a passenger as well!
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
two wheels in boot
(8in wide ones) and one each behind each seat
(7in wide ones).
Admittedly I had to have my seat way too far forward, but it wasn't unsafe.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
it takes 5 mins to remove the seat and will be alot safer.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] will 4x 16" rims fit in a mr2?
FWIW you could
just
about squeeze two rear wheels and alloys in the boot, but there's no way the lid is closing.
I wouldn't recommend driving the car like that far.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
