hi all , well im a complete jae virgin and am after some info really,
basically i will be going on my own but may drag a mate along but basically need to know what to bring, food drink obviously, but any shower facilities etc, shops nearby?? also cost of food etc when in the venue.
Would be great to meet some new guys down there, have a go at footy and tug a war,
Ive never had a lads weekend out so really want to come, just bit worried about the above, also when does payment need to be made etc??

Hi Dave,

We're all JAE virgins as far as the new location goes - having been on a site visit it's pretty well set up, though. They are hiring in shower blocks etc so it should be as comfortable as camping ever is :lol: Plus there's the beach for added freshness if needed. :clown:

There are some shops in the nearby town, but not too much so probably best to bring as much as you can with you. If it's just you in the car, no problems, if you're bringin someone else, they will use up valuable beer space so you may need to make a beer run once you get there. I'm always amazed what you can fit in an MR2 if you really try!

Catering on-site should be pretty good. They're running a cheap (£3-4 IIRC) fry up in the dining hall every morning and the catering vans should be locals and not the ones tied to the venue like the EOE ground so should be cheaper and hopefully better quality.

There's the IMOC hog roast that will take care of one evening's food, plus the IMOC BBQ tends to be on most evenings so you can cook on there too.

No payment date yet as we've just set the ticket prices but keep an eye on the payment thread for details.

On a serious note: what if everyone chipped in a tenner and we actually
did hire some promo girls for our pitch? Obviously we'll need a rave tent too..........
