Autosport International 2008 - Jan 10th - 13th

Post by Rogue »

Hi all,

Team Rogue Racing Ltd (the racing division of Rogue Motorsport) will be exhibiting at the Autosport International show. We'll be promoting the MR2 Championship on the 750MC stand (CM8), where we'll have a race prepared mk2 for you to check out.

Rogue Motorsport introduced mk2 MR2s into racing in 2005, as part of the MR2 Challenge series. Since then we've built over twenty dedicated MR2 race cars - mk1, mk2 and (currently being built) mk3 - and helped many others to prepare and race MR2s. In 2008, MR2 racing has been officially recognised by the Motor Sport Association (MSA) - the UK's governing body - and granted Championship status.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best regards,

Patrick Mortell

Hopefully... I will be there. Although the wifey is still stinging from the bill of Nurburg so that might not be possible ;)

Jo & I want to go too.

Freebie tickets are like rocking horse poo.

The pro audio company I used to work for did the sound for the event - and even then we couldn't get tickets to attend.

Out of interest how much are they charging this year?

£28 for basic none trade admission

I'm going to pop along on Saturday as I could do with buying a Seat and Helmet. I'm hoping the prices are competitive and there's a good choose. Not sure what else I'm expecting to see there but will be a laugh.

I should be there both Thursday and Friday...

Looking forward to it ;) I'll be buying a new set of gloves since my old 'external seam' ones have disintegrated!

Paul

PS..
If anyone is interested… I have a Sparco X-Light 300 (Blue) 3-layer suit that I need to sell…
Doesn’t fit me anymore!

Bought it a few years ago for the MR2 Championship – and I’ve only worn it for a couple of races and a few trackdays… I’ll put something up on the ‘for sale’ section later.

I'll be there with the Rogue Posse Saturday and Sunday.
Last year there was some bartering to be done on some of the stands.
I got some real discount on Boots / Race Suit / Gloves etc on the Deamon Tweeks stand...

Was good fun to pop along yesterday, definatly better then the last motor show I went to at the NEC. I'd recommend people going along today if you've been thinking about.

It's worth bartering a bit, although my Arai helmet still cost loads lol. Still at least I'm happy I've got decent safety equipment.
Got to look over some Carbon Kevlar helmets which were amazingly light, not sure about spending £1500+ though.

Finally saw Rogue's Pink Mr2! it just reminds of me Reservoir Dogs ;p
