Hi mate,
There's a good article on this in the knowledge base, right at the bottom by a chap called Dave Bewley.
I'll be doing this myself soon as my CT26 is blowin oil
Replacing it with a CT20 tho
From what I gather you will need to get under the car at some point to undo nuts etc.
Hope that helps,
Pete.
if your fitting a ct20b, make sure the shaft has been change to a steel shaft as originaly they are made of ceramic, and tend to snap, on hgh boost
regards
Rob
Bibbs,
Go to halfords and buy some ramps they cost £20 and will give you enough crawl space to get under and get to any bolts you cant reach.
Cheers
James
The problem is the car I'm getting the turbo from has no wheels and is slapped on top of a jag xjs.
I got 3 turbo bolts off and a few off the manafold. But some are a PITA to ge to from the top.
Oh well, look like I'll have to try and get under it .. somehow.

done mine bar one bolt thismorning, you can do all the tubo to manifold bolts and the manifold head bolts from above but there is a 17mm bolt from the turbo support stay that is only accessable from underneath.

I was gonna run 15psi - would this be too much???
Pete.
If you've got a Rev3, it should boost upto 19psi without problems. But when they fail, often the exhaust turbine shears off the shaft - you then don't get any boost at all.
its nothing to do with them being ceramic though. The reason they snap is the shaft is a lot thinner than the uk steel equivelent.
You would have to be running 21 psi + do damage it me thinks.
