It depends on the original bonnet and the quality of manufacture of the carbon item. In some cases a carbon bonnet can weigh more than an Aluminium one.

Was it www.epracing.co.uk? Asked them too and got the same answer.

Ah, found vip-bodykits.com He is here on imoc, too. And if we are some more, maybe we can arrange a good deal for everybody? The quality seems to be top and he appears to be quite a nice fella.

just a thought....

As i cant start a own Groupbuy Thread i hope Admins allow me to start over here :D

So the facts is i need at least 10 guys to do a groupbuy price!Iam from germany so i do my Groupbuy over there too.

the facts is :

Those Hoods are made on my order.

DOUBLE SIDED CARBON FIBRE BORDER STYLE VENTED HOODS!!
So the inside Bonestructure will be CF too!!!!

You can order Trunklid and engine lid (f355 style) too - single sided CF - price will be very good i guess on that Groupbuy!Infos following if u want?

You can have :

-Border Style Vented Hood (Carbon fibre Topside + Carbonfibre Bonestructure inside) 610 Pound (single sided will be cheaper)

-Normal style hood 455 Pound (single sided Carbon fibre)

i think these prices are the best we can find
-Prices are all included!!This is what u pay!
-the hood will contain that locker at front and the holes for mounting the gums which keeps the hood on distance.
-Quality and fitment will be very good as those guys made a lot of well known hoods arround!!
-It seems that this Double sided CF hood will be limited

Images will follow!

Let get it on fellas! :thumleft:

1.Daemonslayer (Borderstyle double sided,Bootlid;Enginelid F355)
2.Mr2 Driver (OEM Carbon Fronthaube,Bootlid) - INTERESSE
3.mr2eddy (Border singel sided)
4.Marc (Border singel sided)
5.JackSunrise (Border single sided)

hi ive got one of these not from this guy but I would strongly look at fitting as mine was lots of hassel and does not seal as well. Had it sprayed in red. I'd suggest thinking about this before putting up the cash. Also you WILL pay tax on this item so whatever anyone says import tax will have to be paid. I ship things from the states (being american) alot so no chance of not paying it.

Hi buddy!

I've already got a CF hood now so won't be in on the GB for the hood, but if you get a price for the 355 engine cover I could be interested if that helps your GB.

Also what si2040 said about the fitment is very true. My Border hood came from the states and import duty had to be paid by the previous owner and and the fitment is also a bit off but then if it's come from different moulds it could be better or worse.. :-k

Good luck and let me know about the engine covers if possible
