[Mk2] [NA] Washer jets stopped working... help please
As above... Washer jets have just stopped working. Does anyone know where the fuse is as I guess I best check that first. If its not that, am I right in thinking that the motor is on the bottom of the washer bottle? My 2 is a 91 g'limited import. Cheers for any help guys

I take it you cant hear the pumps working anymore and not just ran out of water?

The pump is located under the wheel arch of the front right wheel. I know this as mine stopped working a little while ago. If it is the pump that is kaput, its a 5 min job to replace. Halfords do a generic pump (bit like rocking horse poo though) but i got mine from Toyota and was stung £55 for it.

The washer bottles full! No, can't hear the pump when I press the washer so I guess its shot. I'll have a look down Halfrauds in the week. Cheers guys

You will lose the contents of the washer tank when you unplug the rubber hosing from the pump, it will naturally drain.

i had this problem the other day, it was just the connector on the motor. i removed the connector and cleaned the pump terminals with some emry paper. i good squirt of wd40 sorted it out. when i replaced the connector i sealed it in with a good dollop of grease to try and keep the water out.
