Poss GB: Carbon fiber windscreen wiper cowling...

I see these for sale in the USA , look soo much nicer than the OEM part. the company only sells on GB's .

am considering ordering a load if there is enough interest. there has to be a minimum of 5 people to order, but hopefully if it attracts 10+ im sure they will negotiate a cheaper price.

now the only downside to this is.... They only make them for LHD mr2's. So what this means is.. for it to work on our RHD, you will need to convert to a single wiper. i have emailed the company and they are pretty sure this should work fine as the passenger wiper is mounted in the centre of the cowling.

I will ask for some more pics of the mountings / dimensions so as to confirm everything will fit fine.

Perhaps someone may have a spare old std cowling that i could send them in the USA so they can compare and let me know it will work for sure?? -or even make a RHD version?!

would def have one but only if it was the rhd using 2 wipers, single wipers should only be on touring cars and the odd merc.

I'm a defiantly for either single wiper one or 2 wiper one. Personally prefer 2 wipers but am willing to sacrifice 1 wiper for that beautiful item!!!!

i CONTACTED THE COMPANY MAKING THESE AND AT PRESENT THEY DONT MANAFACTURE A RHD VERSION - THEY WILL MAKE THEM IF THEY GET ENOUGH ORDERS BUT WANT THE MONEY TO COVER SET UP COSTS.
HOWEVER THERE IS A MEMBER HERE ON THE IMOC WILLING TO MAKE THEM IF HE GETS ENOUGH INTEREST !

sorry but given previous experiences of group buys I am NOT prepared to start getting a list up and fronting this - I want to make it perfectly clear I will NOT be running or starting a group buy here - the point I wanted to make was that we have a member here on IMOC willing to make these if he has enough interest so as per my post if you are interested send the guy a P.M.
