360 Online Gaming Question

I have only played COD 4 once online against a mate.

I have had no interest in playing a bunch of strangers (at any game)
My reason was I didnt want to talk to them.

Is it possible to just play online against people silently?

Last time I did that I had wierd Americland people's voices coming out of my TV.

Mate of mine said try plugging the headset in and turn the volume off??

your the kinda people i hate playing online with in TEAM based games.
seriously why join a team based game/room with no mic??
if your getting shot at how are we to no where the enemy is if you dont tell us? instead we get shot in the back because u died without telling us where he is.
it really annoys me playing with people online in team games who dont use thier mics

Yep thats another option mate. I never use the headset unless playing with mates online.

Just move the switch to the left on the mic.

If I'm playing with my mates then of course I'll use the mic. Hardly anyone talks online anyway.

you can choose how you want voice comms delivered.


there mite even be a universal option in the dashboard.
