Are Pearlescant Decals/Stickers illegal?

Post by Greddy-Matt »

Hi guys,
Can anyone clarify if reflective/pearlescent stickers/decals are illegal?
I lent someone my car this morning and they got pulled over by a traffic car and told to take them off or risk getting a fine etc etc. Something about the possibillity of them being a distraction to other road users.

I've started to strip them off because I dont want any hassle but is this true?

Cheers
Matt

They look like this:

Well thats what I was thinking, Maybe the front and rear window stickers I can understand, but the ones on the skirts would only really be a distraction if you were trying to read them (as they're backwards) :D

the decal on your front screen is not legal though, i had to remove all my decals for MOT , nothing on the top of your screen is legal because of visibility apparently(guess your bu88ered if you flip down the insided visors then DOH!) Stupid flippin new laws, nice car by the way :thumleft:

Yeah talking complete balls.

@racing23mr2 - why did you have to remove your decals for an MOT?
