Hi Guys get your names down for next years trip. Mind you i think you all have.

Micheal that is great art work so we need to get some group tee shirts for this.

As we speak Susan and i are in Skye doing a recce for next year.

I am working on the route and have a brilliant road already up my sleeve before we even hit skye. This is the gairloch to Applecross road.

You wont believe this one guys. i thought the last road was good but this is out of this world.

We will also do the skye tour and i will get in contact with a few places for accommodation.

Looking at having the trip around start of September as this year but i will confirm the date soon.

The run will be limited to around 15 cars so i dont think we have much room left.

I will carry on the recce in the next few days. The roadster is going great and i will post a few photos on my return at the weekend.

OOoooooo only 4 places left already for next years trip, you need to get your name down now to secure a place and avoid disappointment.

Shane could we possibly squeeze up to 20 MR2's for next year??

Don't really have a chance to read through everything at the moment, but just to confirm for now that I am a definite yes. Not sure about Sasha but the way she was talking about it on the way down, I think she's a definite yes as well.

Any chance of making it three days rather than two? Though I'll probably make the trip up and down two days each way and see other places on the way...
Also, maybe a week or two sooner to increase the likelyhood of some sun?

Already looking forward to it!!! :thumleft:

Michael

We will be driving the applecross pass that's for sure and it is truly amazing up there. You feel like you are on top of the world and you have driven it too.

I am reluctant to increase the numbers to 20 cars as the roads are just not that suitable for this and with that kind of numbers accommodation becomes a problem. You also then have people waiting in passing places for 20 cars to pass and keeping the group together can be a problem.

Looks like we maybe booked up as you said.

Max,

I am more than willing if everyone wants to, to increase the trip to 3 days if this suits everyone. Probably head off on Friday morning and finish Monday morning.

Would this be suitable for everyone though? Or would we prefer just to have the 2 days . I would suggest 2 days in Skye accommodation which is around £25 per night in B&Bs and if another night one on the mainland.

I will come back with a route but opinions on a 2 or 3 day trip are welcomed at this stage so I can plan a route and accommodation.

Catch you all soon

Shane... 3 days is fine by us. It would be better as us southerners have a long way to drive up and then back down. We'll go with whatever everyone else prefers to do.

Richard

We are looking at September 2008.

I have done some of Skye today and it is brilliant.

I can certainly fill 3 days for you guys if this is what you want.

Continuing the tour tomorrow.

Michael,

I have already sourced a new t-shirt supplier for your artwork. :thumleft:

Catch you all later.

What about the 12th - 14th which is the Friday - Sunday and home on the Monday, we could come and meet up on the Thursday night, possibly another BBQ or we could do something else, possibly have a themed fancy dress code for next year!!

12th - 14th September 2008

Same weekend as this year, how does this sound. Thoughts and reactions required.
