[Mk2] [Turbo] k reg 1993 rev 3 or rev2??

hi does any know if a mr2 turbo k reg is a rev 3 or rev 2 if its made in 1993 ie more bhp (240) cheers................

brakes/suspension is the same, rev2/3....only improvements was from a rev1...

if its got a rev1/2 spoler 99.999999% its going to be a rev1/2.....

if you sold a rev3, then a rev3 turbo should look identical bar the engine cover, and the front side indicators....

Rev 3's didn't come about until late 1993 did they, therefor a '93 K would have to be a Rev 2?

Same here, K reg rev 2 but as mentioned before, some rev 3s were registered in late 1993.

Easy way to tell is obviously the rear lights and spoiler and lack of AFM in the engine bay

Too many common light conversions. Best to check chassis number, Rev 3 should be from SW20-0087386 onwards.

Rev 2's went upto L plate, there should be no K Reg Rev3's.

I Agree - check for AFM.

My 1993 is a K-reg Rev2.

93 was the switch over year so you will get both Rev2 and 3 in 1993...

err, except for those who've ditched the afm as well! less common than a light change tho.....
but a rev1/2 spoiler change is alot more effort than a light change.
all of this can be changed/modified...

best bet is chassis number, stock rev3 oil catch can, and i think the biggest and unlikest change is the fact rev3+ engine didnt have the twin cam turbo plate on the inlet manifold afaik.
