Cars for sale...as well as parts for sale

Post by Sidewinder »

As title, really. Just wondering if it would be worth seperating the two sections (or breaking it down further - Mk1s for sale, Mk2s for sale, etc)?

Obviously there's got to be a line drawn somewhere on the number of sections, but I'm trying to think of relevant areas that need more attention without them getting clogged with too much crud.
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

Hmm - lets see how they go for the moment - if it proves a problem we can do this

I would suggest this as well... I'm still looking to buy a nice Turbo MR2 and it was very easy on the old site to see what was offered. Please consider this.

Ok...Think to stop the forum gaining too many boards we need to look at sub forums... I will have a start to look at this later today. As usual we will test our test server and the bring it here. I will keep you updated.

I definately think the for sale section needs addressing - seperate cars / parts sections and a section for non-MR2 stuff, be it cars, George Formby grills or anything else you can think of, can't do any harm can it?

At the moment it's confusing and doesn't help people to sell their stuff.

Split it up, the more that gets advertised the worse it gets.

I agree. I've hardly loooked at the buy/sell areas of the site since we've gone 'modern'. Whereas I used to look at the '2mart' section on the old site quite often.

It definately needs sorting.

(I'm looking for a George Formby Grill as well)!

Michael,

Basically to get subforums on phpBB2 you need to do LOTS of work. The subforums we are going to use is what will be used in phpBB3. It is written by the same guy and is a very large upgrade to the board.

Esmond
