Recomended Garages - Central Scotland area

Post by emrrtwo »

Hi,

After over a ten year absense have finally got a mk1 again!

Now am trying to find a decent garage I can trust to carry out routine servicing / upgrades, am in west lothian but am prepared to travel a bit for the right place. Any recomendations appreciated

Cheers

Hi Kieron

Have to admit I do most of the servicing stuff myself, haven't yet found a garage in Edinburgh I'd trust to work on my car. I've had a couple of body work repairs done, the last was the roof edge above the windscreen last year, went to Browns Body shop off the Lanark Road opposite Pentland Land Rover dealership. Did a good job and prices were reasonable.

There are a few "locals" on here might know of garages nearer to where you stay.

I swear by Ian at Three Acre garage in Broxburn. It's down to him that I first got a mk1!
I'll PM you his number if you like?

*Edit* After thinking . . . there's also the option of getting in touch the Millentubby and Jaffa on here and MR2OC as they are in Ratho and would be able to guide you on how to DIY it ;)

Three Acre is just off the Broxburn Winchburgh road, heading away from Broxburn at the top of the hill road does sharp turn to the right, garage is just off to the left there, hidden away.

Can't do any harm to drop in for a natter.
