[Mk2] [NA] Coilovers are on! Better Pics..

Post by Greddy-Matt »

Well the guys at 3S did a sterling job yesterday and fitted my coilovers, the ride is very good although ill reserve judgement untill its all aligned etc, but so far so good, even if i did nearly loose my teeth on the first man hole cover i went over

The whole set up definately needs to come up 5-10mm to stop the tyres rubbing but im well chuffed!

They are K-Sport regular fast road coilovers, pretty good to install by all accounts too, just about everything is adjustable on them :D !

I was thinking of getting Volk TE37's when i can afford them :D But will definately need spacers in the meantime so i dont have to run positive camber on the front to stop the rim clashing with the springs!!

sweet ! ahh a car can never be too low.

I agree also, the front rims are too close to comfort to the spring itself. On mine it was about 2mm clearance with a 7 width wheel and et42

i feel a new group buy coming on ....... spacers & low profile ally trolley jack !

LMAO so you can see why i had issues with 7 inch and a 45 offset :D and hence had to camber out the wheels to compensate for it ](*,)
Im glad James drove it off the ramps, I sure as hell couldnt have :thumleft:

The M3 in the pouring rain yesterday was how shall we say interesting

We got these as a group buy from Apex Performance mate, £533 all in with a 25% discount...

Hi mate, good to see 8)

Get a proper 4-wheel laser alignment done now...

I'd at least get an uprated upper front strut bar, and uprated ARBs after if budget allows. The upper front strut brace makes a HUGE difference with coilovers :D

Enjoy

Cheers mate, yeah, hence why i went this route, although im finding the ride pretty harsh at the moment, its taking some getting used to, although the girlys will love going over rumble strips now  but it should all be worth it
