Silicone Air Filter / Turbo hose

Post by Bender Unit »

I am looking to start a GB on the air filter to turbo hose. I recently sent the OEM part over to the Silicone hose contact I have and he has agreed to make one up.

This pipe would be for Rev3 onwards.

This hose would be similar to the fat hose pictured below. I can’t show you an exact picture as no other company make this pipe for the Rev3+. The one pictured below is for the Rev1/2

Quality is top notch and this company makes hoses for some major race teams, so they don’t make crap.

You can have them in a multitude of colours – as below.

Cost is £85 posted to you door and we would need 10 orders to get that price (£5 postage)

If you’re interested please put your name down. I guarantee this GB will go ahead and if we get the numbers will got through very quickly.

Cheers

Hi James

Could well be interested, would need to check what the inlet size of my GT30 is. I take it this is just for standard size at the mo.

Yes mate, it would be based on the stock CT20. Might be big enough for the GT30 compressor inlet?

Let me know mate,

I always thought there must be someone out there that could make a pipe that would extend the standard turbo to air filter pipe so the actual filter is lower down nearer the side vent. I have got an HKS one which came with it's own pipe, but the filter is still very much in the engine bay! Surely it would be better to have this lower down to keep it from sucking in all that nasty hot air!!!

Its a bit of a catch 22 because if its too low you're likely to get the filter covered in cr@p. Try using some flexible aluminium/plastic ducting to guide the air...
