Remote Central locking

Post by Hugo »

I have a 1991 Turbo with central locking that works from the key in the lock. I was wondering if there was a way I could modify this to remote central locking. I don’t want to buy a new alarm system, as I already have a very good Toad Immobiliser and don’t want to mess with it. There must be some sort of electronic box and key transmitter that I can wire in.

kind regards,

Hey Hugo,

I've been looking into this too but have never gotten around to doing it.!

eBay seems a pretty good place to get his sort of thing from -

There's a few units out there, then it's just a case of wiring it in to your
locking units.

There's a couple of posts in here that if you search for 'Remote Central Locking' should point some things out.

Hi,

I too have been looking at it but would like to purchasea system that works the central locking while activating the original toyota alarm as well.

Should the alarm be able to be switched off from either door? If i open from passenger door the alarm goes off!

Can anybody help?

I've seen a system on e-bay for £30 but want to know more before buying and fitting!

Cheers
