Man your camera work is bad! :D

Instead of a N95 I have a housebrick with a camera taped to it and my old phone, its slightly lighter and slightly smaller :D

Grey is very different, nice move

Well the block is pretty much done - just needs to be decked, honed and sprayed.

Here are some pics of the sleeves going in...

Spent some time cleaning and painting things also and fitting new CV boots - messy job!

Balanced crank

Modified 5S-FE bolt pattern to larger 3S-GTE bolt size + PCD... results in much better fitment of the flywheel :thumleft:

Slow progress today - had to make sure everything was perfect and a few bits took longer than expected but the engine is now ready to have the clutch and gearbox fitted then fitted to the car. This will be happening tomo. Some more pics..

fantastic! cant wait to see this thing up an rputtin down some serious power!

you still going to be running a TMI nath?

im looking for a decent inlet mani for my car at the minute, but would prefer one that has the TB in the boot like the phoenix power item. trying to find one is a mare though, visiting a motorsport fabricator next weekend to see about having a custom peice made

Well the jubilee clips (of all things!!) never turbed up today so i cant fit coolant pipes, so it will be monday now when she is fired into life but all work will still be carried out this weekend.

Yes im still running boot mount, a rear or side facing TB would be fantastic but unfortunately were restriced with the options on the Rev 3 and the KU manifold seemed the only option for me at the time so ill have to stay with the current pipe setup.

As for power.... who knows! Im looking for lots of torque though!

What sort of boost are you looking to run Nath?

It's looking mighty tough mate. Looking forward to seeing and hearing it running.

BTW. If that motor is as powerfull as it looks, I'd be using Mikalor clamps, not Jubilee clips. :thumleft:

I plan to Earl - the jubilee clips are for the samco coolant hosing.

As for boost - i think we need to be looking at 2.3BAR to be getting good torque. Anything over 2.1bar and the torque sky rockets.

Race fuel would be nice but am just running out of time!

Anyway - more pics....

Was a fairly slow day, got engine in but had to fab a few things up then came the fun of fitting all the fuel + turbo lines. Bosch pump in place and fuel lines are all done - turbo drain needs to be finished still but we really broke the back of it today... more work tomorrow.

Also, drag tyres were ordered yesterday so we should be having good grip @ TOTB
