Awesome MR2

Post by mr2nut123 »

Im sure this has been seen a fair few times over the forums, but I think personally its the best looking MR2 out there. Even better than most TRDs ive seen to be honest. Whats peoples opinions on it?

I agree, just the silly spoiler that lets it down and the bonnet needs painting

'Fraid to say its not my cup of tea, I don't really like anything on it 8-[

I'm not really a big fan of carbon fibre parts tbh, it really breaks up the form of the '2.

Black wheels with silver rims look SWEET.

Black wheels with black rims don't

All lovely examples. The black cars look the best - agree that the colour should all be the same so as not to break up the lines.

Ok so thats close :P Best bits about that car are the air vents and rear spoiler, theyre spot on. Where can i get one of these spoilers from or are they so rare that they'de cost daft money?

Yep, the border kit on that car is gorgeous, hoping that will be similar to my next one! Jim, what is it with that pointy mr2 with the untidy kit you keep posting, it really doesn't look as good as most kits out there for the mk2, esp the border.

:puker:

Why can't any of these 'designers' ever design it sympathetically with the door. They are so xxxx!!!!!!!!! Terrible design.

its a design taken from the track.

On the track equiped cars when they want wider wheen they just add the arch extension for the wheels, adding door additions adds weight as well.

I'm prietty sure that the step in the front arch creates low pressure areas behind the step pulling air from the wheel arch out, on the race cars there is a vent running down the length of the step infront of the door.

The proper SARD designs for example are gorgeous, I wasn't refering to them. I mean these awful and tacky rip-offs who just don't get it! Design is not something you can do just with one styling idea, its a philosophy and an understanding that takes years to mature...

edit, btw when I say designing sympathetically with the door, I don't necessarily mean blend it all in (that's exactly what not to do), I mean maintain the same design language as the doors, like the SARD it does.

cause the kit is rare rthan any TRD kit ive seen thats why.....im not saying its in 100% show condition, the kit and look i think is cool, and its a super rare kit to boot, ive never seen one at any shows. infact, that car is the only car ive seen with that do-luck kit.

He has a point Jim, you really do bum that Do-luck kit. That is an official Do-Luck kit, how much rarer can you get than an OFFICIAL TRD kit/car, plenty of copy kits about but the original £5000 TRD kit is rare as hens teeth!!
