varies quite a lot from about 8ish secs 0-60 for the 3.0 to just over 5secs for the 4.6

It's the 60-0 on those things that scares me. They all seem to think it's a lot better than mine.

Does anyone know why anyone wants one of those, when they could have a 535 or something instead?

this time it was a 5 series brand new....no badge except for a dual exhaust.....kept up with me all the way to crazy speeds (stupid i kno) but toward the end i slowed down ( being safe ) he did exactly the same then we planted it again goin around 40ish in third.he completely killed me.....

i blame the turbo lag..... 8-[

I've had this experience. One RIGHT on my ar$e through local village.

Was in third and thought that would be enough the leave him....I was wrong!! He was right up my ar$e until I had full boost!!! Only then did I start to pull away!

Smarmy g!t!

I believe the correct procedure according to the highway code is to slow down if someone is tailgating you so that you can ensure that 2second rule is stuck to.

I thought you were supposed to stop, drag them out the car and beat them to death with their own shoes?

Or is that just me?

Lovely cars the X5, and plenty of torque in 3.0d form, but not my cuppa, I prefer to be sat on the floor

Agrees, but the 4.8IS is the one to have. Sounds awesome! :)

I've chased a couple and they are pretty quick for what they are but in my opinion they and other such monstrosities are just completely pointless!

Very amusing watching school run muppets trying to reverse park one tho
