They do seem to hold their value very well. I'd love one.

But that one doesn't quite have an unblemished history does it?
Does look good though :)
But I wouldn't say £5.5K is the going rate.

i think you are getting this beams confused with a rev5 tubby that was being sold a little while ago. unless someone can show me the thread where this one was "un-masked"

IIRC there were a few things pointed out with that BEAMS car - lack of passenger airbag etc. Still, considering, does look mint. If I were MR2-less, I'd snap that one up for £5,750 :D I'd think they're worth a little more ;)

to be fair a lot of mr2's have had minor to major bumps during the course of their lives. i'm sure at least 50% of the people on here will admit to having a prang whilst in their 2's.

i had a couple minor ones in my first mr2 :?

Beams are like buses you wait and wait and wait then eventually you give up and find another mode of transport and then whaddaya know two come along at once

why oh why oh why didnt i just hang on a little longer instead of settling for a bog standard rev5

Good luck with the sale mate have a bump on me

(Get some pics up though so we can drool/dream!)

I'm with Jason Dawes who said (on the latest Used Car Roadshow) a 1999 version would fetch £9,000
And IIRC, a 1998 'S' would fetch £7,000 - £7,500 - and he was talking about UK cars most probably :-k

Seriously though, I'd say a 1998 UK car to be worth £5K - £6K, so a beams version deffo worth more.
