Rowland's latest mk2 MR2 - bling bling pic fest!

Post by Rowland »

I don't think I've ever posted in here so here goes.
The sun was out this afternoon so I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to take some pics at long last.
What you're seeing is a JDM rev3 n/a with a few additional cosmetics to make it look a little more interesting.
I've added the wheels and fitted the Rogue Quad Headlights this week.
The car is a true credit to it's meticulous owner as is by far the best mk2 I've ever driven.

Enjoy the pics (Click to enlarge)

Cheers chap, it's kinda transformed it a bit!

The Rogue Quad lights I fitted myself in less than 3 hours.
I've fitted a set before to my white turbo in 'my garage' and have become a bit of a dab hand at getting it right now lol
I've ordered a Rogue engine bay fan kit, Carbotech brake pads will be fitted when the stock pads finally wear and I guess I'd like to address the ride height pretty soon too....

Looks like I'm gonna need a part time job at this rate!

Looks real nice Rowland. very smart example. The black wheels compliment it nicely.

How's it feel goin from a MK2 turbo to MK2 N/A? :-k

Cheers Craig,

I guess it's more mk2 Turbo / mk3 Turbo / mk2 N/A !
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the instant hit of power at low revs with a turbo, but in terms of driving pleasure with this particular car - it's all gravy!
It feels well balanced, and loves to be revved hard.
There’s definitely something particularly enjoyable about driving an n/a that goes well once it's screaming it's nuts off! lol

When I get fed up or something goes bang, there’s always the 3.0 V6 option…

yeah I think thats the only thing I'd miss. I've had 2 MR2 turbos now and love the kick of boost

Only NA I've driven is the 3SFE so can't really comment on the drivability of the 3SGE having never driven one.

So you still got the MK3 then? or sold that? :-k

Hi mate, yes from the outside you'd mistake it for a turbo model very easily, with the exception on the turbo rubbing strips on the sides.
I contemplated removing the GT-S badge but never got round to it.
