Todays handling day...

Post by Pete J »

Was a great laugh.. bumpy but well worth £40 IMHO.

I'm sure everyone has a story to tell ;) have never seen so much spining, understeering, oversteering and drifting in 1 place  Despite 44 PSI in the rears, the shoulders on my rear Toyos are gone and some of the tread blocks have started to melt / split

Many thanks to Frank for making the day happen =D> =D> =D>

What a fantastic day! Well worth £40! My other half too some photos but there arent any good action shots really. Ill upload some in a min and post them here.
Did anyone get any piccies of the smoke from my last run? Serious tyre spinning whilst flooring it in second gear and traveling backwards! :D

Was a very entertaining day with some very funny moments, can't wait to watch the runs we did with 70mph drifts and the spins  Was very pleased that my car never missed a beat and I never destroyed my tyres even though it seemed all I ever did was spin or go sideways
After teasing Mel for being the only one that never spun his car in the high speed cornering he went out and spun it at 80mph and ripped the rear tyre of the rim  I felt a tad guilty 8-[ but we got him back going again and have just ordered him a new tyre and will be dropping the rim off to be refurbed tomorrow,so all's well again.Poor old Nick, who in my opinion is a suicidal nutcase who should get a job either banger racing or drfiting killed his clutch entertaining as all with his Kamikaze drfiting only made it home as far as the m11 before he admited defeat and called the AA.

it was a great day, cheers frank for sorting it,enjoyed ever minute even the clutch shreading part,i think i need to learn that the throttle pedal has more than two positions. feel a bit guilty that me & bry bulled mel into an 80mph tyre shreading spin

Top day (well, afternoon for me. Must make mental note not to go on the lash the night before a track day in future!).

Great to meet you all, and thanks to Chris, Malcolm and Frank for giving me a ride in their cars. Especially to Malc, who took his life in his hands several times by allowing Andi and myself to give his little MkI a right good thrashing round the handling course.

...it would have been even better with tyres on it!

BTW. Frank is now officially the DK.

Who took the close video of the high speed bend? And when is it going to be posted?

Nicks brother Ben took the vids,he realised last night that the sepia button had been pushed on the camcorder so the vids will have an antique look  He's gonna try and get them sorted this weekend.
