Jo, i'm guessing this is in your own car?

If so it may be worth pointing out that an LSD is essential to drift as such.

I guess you'd be okay in the SC (providing you have LSD of course), but this would rule out NAs in mk1s and mk2s.

No - I've asked this. It dosen't cost any more to use their cars, so this is what i have asked to do.

The best info is trawling thru the thread on the driftworks forum (events section). I'd suggest this if anyone is really interested.

Maybe after i've had a good day in their car i 'may' hace a go in the SC (it has an LSD)

yep - paid up

I will have to see what the day is like, as its the first time they have done this i think. I guess there will be around 20 of us and 5 instructors, so i guess it won't be all day driving or anything. I expect that we will be in smaller groups and taken out in the cars one at a time. Quite a few of the girls say they are going to be using thier bf/ partners cars, as a lot of them are already involved in drifting.
However it ends up to run, i'm sure it will be great fun

It would be soo cool if we get an imoc posse to go-
come on Lauren, Anna, Toni......

Jo, i did a drifting day with this lot at boringstone two years ago. I drove a couple of the 86s, was really good fun. Good crowd that lot too. Seems like a bargain though for £70 in their cars.

Anna, stop it, i'm seriously thinking of treating myself, but i'm getting dissaproving looks from *Mark. :(

*he says i have to think about it for a bit before committing. :?

Jealous? Me? Not a chance [-(

Another kick in the gonads is apparently, I can't even go and watch/support Jo as apparently the presence of a b/f (or males for that matter) can be too presurising and can put the girls off

Thats kind of pathetic to be honest. Not to allow any male spectators as well.
Maybe we should have a male only drift day?

nicked this bit from the driftworks forum:
"It doesnt cost any extra to use our cars,,,,
The length of time everyone has on track depends on how many are there for the day,,,
What we might do is use 2 tracks so we can split the no`s,, i will post the format of the day closer to the time

OK you can now book on line

Think its a bit off that your other half wouldn't be able to come along and watch, seems a trifle unfair.
Can also imagine the abuse if they advertised a men only drift day and banned women from attending, would be accused of being sexist.

I know what you mean, but on their forum they are being very strickt, despite the fact that lots of the girls that are going are driving their other halves cars!
However, its kind of nice to have a day for us girls tho - makes it a bit 'special' LOL for our 'special' driving-stylee

I recently read on their forum that the girls can take 1 person with them. Although it doesn't stipulate weather it be male or female...

I just wanna see Jo kick some girly butt

I've seen her put the rear end of tango out on a roundabout and keep it out for a full rotation. Now imagine her in a drift mobile once she's used to it... 8)
