http://www.circuit-days.co.uk/ are running a bedford evening for £119 which is quite reasonable considering it's the full 4.3 mile GT circuit and openpit line.
Thinking of doing this as a follow-up to the donnington friday next week, anyone fancy it?
FYI 3rd is a thursday.
You can find distances to the track from this link:

One thing about bedford is they're quite strict on the drive-by limit, though it's the same as donnys.
I'll be taking my departure 2 / SSQV'd 2 down for a sound check and will report back. I don't expect to fail on the exhaust, infact i'm positive that it along with hks superdraggers etc will fly through, i'm more worried about the BOV venting near a sound meter (of which there are 4).

Assuming I don't blow up on friday ill more than likely be up for this jon, see you at donny first!!
Re: Bedford Autodrome - good first trackday, few mr2's
I'd like to but probably can't afford it. I'm already broke and I've got more mods planned for the summer.
Anyway see you on Friday!

Bedford noise limits are lower than donington. At Donington its 98db trackside drive by. At bedford you get static tested on the way in at 3/4 revs and the limit is 101 db, then there is a drive by 20m from the track with a 87.5db limit.
Weather seems to make a big difference at Bedford.

What can you do about the sound of the dumps ?
I know with the exhaust you can just get a muffler.
Can you muffle the bov somehow ? even just by enclosing it more or turning it to point down or something ?

Depends on the bov i guess.
If my SSQV was too loud i guess i'd fab a bit of hose and stuff it with cotton wool or something, mesh the end and terminate the pipe deep in the engine.
Or fit a stock bov.

On the grounds my car is still quieter than my NA and that passed just fine i've not bothered going for a sound test.

Jon - will be interested to hear (groan) how you get on with the noise issue - I know other clubs have been there and hav had problems with cars being pulled off the circuit due to being too loud.
Have you got a standard exhaust, or a free flowing performance one?

Departure 2 with TB downpipe.
My NA had a very loud powerflow on and was fine.
All tracks will fail the idiots who turn up with unbaffled nurspecs etc, i remember there being problems at the TOC trackday.
