heater pipes leaking

bought my rev 1 turbo two years ago did a complete engine rebuild loads of new parts on a very tight budget just got it going now i have a water leak metal pipes for the heater that run above the tank.can someone tell me how much they are.and does anyone other than toyota make them.

From Toyota they cost a Kidney and the bottom half of your lung. Most guys replace with high temp thick water hose. Plus if you want to remove the metal ones for new you'll have to drop the fuel tank which is a biatch... :)

Hi Stevek,

Have a look in the Knowledge Base I am sure theres a "how to" in there on bypassing these pipes.

For piece of mind I did mine about 2.5 years ago and its still going strong

If toyota will do it for £270 go for it! My local toyota quoted me £2000!!!!!
I got it fixed with heater hose by 3S in the end for £230 (iirc) so for a dealer price that's a bargain!

The price just for the pipes £270 not for fitting.
think i'll buy some heater hose and do it that way.

Can anyone who has replaced the metal heater pipes with rubber hose let me know where to source some from.

most motor factors sell if from off a coil. I bought mine from halfords when i did it about 4 years ago.

Had mine done about 2 years ago, and replaced with stainless. :wink:
