dunno what kinda speed you lot have done but i got the needle on 145mph today on a 'private' stretch extension of my driveway ;)

it felt bloody fast and was a bit scary but the car was amazingly stable at this speed and what scared me was it was still pulling and woulda done more but i bottled out and was seeing traffic approaching fast a mile ahead hehe.

just wanted to see if my limiter was taken off or not and saw the clear stretch so nailed it.

anyone else got this kinda speed out of the Turbo?

got my old Mk1 up to 120mph but got scared as it felt so light and well it was made of old bean tints so would of left a nasty mess if all went wrong :D

Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!

I've had a laser verified 150 at Bruntingthorpe- my speedo was 10mph out whatever speed I went through the trap, had an indicated 167mph on a private road.

when running the car with just cat back exhaust and air filter at a grainger valve set 15psi my RSM which is very accurate told me i got up to 231 kph which is 143.45mph. This was because i got ar$ed off with a clapped out 4x4 sierra cossie that kept driving right up my behind on a bit of carrage way in traffic, when the traffic cleared i nailed it an left him for dead, backed off also because glancing at the speedo i saw an indicated 151mph and thought jail.. RSMs hold your top speed so looked later and that told me the 231kph, car had plenty left it was still quickly accelerating.

I kept the MR2 limited for the sake of my licence but had no choice with the family car - lasered 168.6 at Elvington but I ran out space, I'm pretty sure I've had it faster 'elsewhere' but at those speeds I tend to concentrate on looking ahead rather than at the speedo :)

my next door neighbour hit 170mph down a dual carrigeway near me! scared the xxxx out of his mate in the car too.

i smile when i see him now as he drives a shitty escort after a year and a half driving ban for dangerous driving, he did drive like a hand jockey and could be seen doing burnouts in the supra in car parks around where i live.

it was just over 170 on the speedo

still a bloody nuttah! glad when he got banned, he really did drive that car like a proper hand jockey. not an image the Supra needs!

BTW, the AVC-R read 7006RPM in 5th with 225/45/17 tyres on the rear, which eqautes to approximately 165 ;)
