Yes - Mrs Speedy warned me of his reverse-midas-touch and he was barred from getting too close to your actual engine.

Well...today I finally collected the trailer, and I've arranged to drop the car in next week. You never know, one day I might finish this. :)

I actually finished a job I started on the car two years ago today. :D And what a ba$tard of a job it is..and only on the drivers side so far. :(

(Ignore the dates on the photos, camera is all over the place).

First I removed the carpet...3kg!

Then I removed the bitumen...nearly 4kg!

Then it needed cleaning up...

Once done get out the white hammarite...

Fin!

Apart from I couldn't find the lid to the hammarite...then discovered it was stuck to the dogs ar$e :o

(She was only trying to help  )

Anyway 7kg saved per side, worth doing IMHO. Wonder if I can manage the passenger side before Saturday, LOL.

Pipe freezing spray.

Did mymx5 boot floor a few weeks ago, spray bitumen with freeze spray (about 6" square at a time), hit with hammer, then push chisle behind it, whole section will shatter and come straight off.

Nice tip! I still have the passenger side to do. :)

As for when it'll be ready....I sincerely hope I will have it for around May time, but there's always things that get thrown up and I'm sure this will be no exception.
