Electronic boost controller

Post by mark nadin »

This will sound a stupid question but what is the best boost controller to buy and how hard are they to set-up once fitted
P.S do you have to disable T-VSV or just leave it connected ? Told you it was a stupid question

get the apexi avcr, its not cheap but its easy to use, it learns your gearing and has two boost level setting, looks the xxxx aswel. ofcourse i have one on my rev 1, a bit of a pain to wire up but i can do that for a few benjamins. the standard boost controller has to be blocked off ur right there.

cheers karam

pm me if you think about buying one.

Its personal preference really.

I really like my Greddy Profec B2, hi low settings, peak, warning, its small, easy to install and a damn site easier to setup than an avcr! sits on top of the steering column nicely too.

I'd go for the greddy or a Blitz DSBC.

Blitz DS-BC...........but then I would say that

I heard that although the AVC-R looks sweet and has some nice functions, tis a b1tch to set up.

I have the DS-BC and love it!!

I had an AVC-R for a week, couldn't remove it quick enough would set it up,.. supposedly,.. then randomly it wouldn't do its job etc.. spoke to other owners and that appeared normal  so rather than accept i'd bought the worst controller possible I flogged it :D

99.9% of people said the blitz one is better by miles, at the time I couldn't find one for an acceptable price, but they now seem to be floating round for only £20 or so more than the AVC-R

Best place would probably be ebay. Although places like http://www.Envyperformance.co.uk sell them.

If money no object I'd go blitz dsbc spec r. I've recently bought a greddy profec b 2 - looks dead easy to install and easy to use. Also has an important function of being able to enforce a boost limit to prevent overboosting beyond a specified range.
Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!
