0-60 means buggerall. All it shows is how well a car can launch and this is just as dependant on the driver as it is the car.

1/4 mile or 0-100 times are where its at for me

Im a fan of the 0-100 aswell !
Anything thats around 10 or under 10 secs is supercar speed !
Unless youve got a noble m400 ! 8secs !!!!!

Xxxx did a 7.8secs at the J-Tuner day. That's SERIOUSLY quick!

(EDIT: To put that into perspective, when it had about 310bhp my car did 0-100 in 11.8secs and 0-60 in 4.75secs on the Banzai MR2 day!)

(EDIT AGAIN: At the moment, from the datalogging, it looks like I'm doing 0-60 in just over 4, and 0-100 in about 9).

If I could hit 116 mph in 12.10 to 40 secs, I guess I can place 0-100 in under 10 seconds.

Thats CT-26 turbo powered too !! :D

Hey !

that wasn't the first time dino I ran down the track y'know !! ... I'd been doing it 3 month before that incident... which is why I was so annoyed... 3months of destructive testing and come the day... it fell apart !! ](*,)

Did I say thanks !!

I got to the bottom of all that y'know .. it was a coolant shortage !!.. the bleed tap on the rad was weaping without me knowing.. hence wallop up the strip, then excess gassing up of no coolant around the block I guess ruptured the pipe !

Shame... never ever had coolant problems on the car !

Did i mention I was only running 1 bar too !!

It WAS a shame, mate, as I reckon you would have broken into the 11s on that day! :(

Yeah, you *did* mate, although it's not necessary. When I can, I'm there for my fellow IMOCers! :D

I'm not surprised that it was leaking, mate, as I don't think you'd looked at that bit before I bled the system on that day. :D

Wow!

High compression engine matey ! I've had 4 engines in that car y'know !! :D I've only bu88ered one... curtisy of the stock ceramic turbo shattering causing multiple cracks on the crank and scored bores ](*,)

Plans change .. I wanted an efficient setup that would run riot around a track... low boosting, high compression engine... with cost in mind ... Now I just want big with a little compromise... not long now before I play !! 8-[ :eye:

I don't think you'd looked at that bit before I bled the system

Didn't know what the bleed tap was for !!

my 1/4 mile was 14.1 at 98mph - that was a standard Rev3

Ive seen loads of sh1tty novas that have respectable 0-60 times but just dont have the grunt to do a good 1/4 time

My fastest recorded 0-60 to date was 4.2 at the J-Tuner thrash. Looking back at the video footage i'd have to say that this was with a bit of a naff launch too! :(

0-100 was 11 if memory serves. I was happy overall to be honest but I think the times would have been better if I was able to hold boost on the day!

Barney, was it a red Mini? Was it this one? If so, can you please tell us what it did?

I was told a little about this beast only I can't remember the exact figures and who it was that told me about the thing either! 1/4 mile in 11's rings a bell. I do remember them saying that it was not road legal though and that it was basically standard engine wise
